Indian Railways, from time to time, come out with interesting plans to offer memorable vacations to its guests. Now after letting its travelers enjoy desert, heritage and pilgrimage package tours, the Railways is now all set to explore the tiger circuit.
‘Tiger Express’, a semi-luxury train will be rolling its wheels from the 5th of June this year, which is also the World Environment Day, from Safdarjung Railway Station, Delhi. The people of Delhi will get a chance to explore the wildlife circuit by visiting the popular tiger reserves in the Madhya Pradesh state. Tiger Express is a joint endeavor of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) and The Indian Railways.
This train service is the first chance that the Indian Railways has planned a wildlife circuit tour package. Along with operating luxury trains such as the Maharajas’ Express
, the IRCTC also manages tours on the Buddhist circuit, Desert circuit, Bharat Darshan and so on.
Tiger Express has an itinerary of 5 nights and 6 days, covering Kanha National Park and Bandhavgarh National Park in Madhya Pradesh state, along with Dhuadhar Falls in Bhedaghat, Jabalpur.
This semi-luxury train is going to have only first and second AC accommodations, with tariff starting from INR 38,500, including train ticket, accommodation, food and local AC transport.
